Daddy wanted the kids to see that the lake he loves to hunt ducks on, was frozen! He remembers being around 5 or 6 and doing the same thing on a different lake on nearby property w/ his family. The kids loved it. It was pretty cool to see a frozen lake in RR! We bundled them up and John sported his wading boots to go into the water! (By the way, he actually hunted this lake, frozen, Saturday morning at 5:30am...breaking through ice was part of the fun for him. I don't know that any of my passions are passionate enough for me to break through ice at 5:30 in the morning!!) Holt said "Oh, COOL!!" as he slid around w/ daddy holding him on top of the ice. Adly said "I'm a good ice kater (skater)!" Definitely a memory made here.
