My good friend, Terri, started this amazing club w/ her twin girls, who at the time, were starting 5th graders. They named it Creative Girls Club. After talking about it for a year and hearing all the wonderful things that came from it, I decided to start my own w/ a friend. CGC is a faith based club where girls come together to craft and talk/learn about God's love for us and how we can show that in our lives. The motto is "Sparkle and Shine in HIS light." The CGC we started is for our starting kinder girls and we have 7 girlies total. We've only had one meeting so far, but what a blessing it already is!! I'm so thankful to have my friend Jessica doing this w/ me (a former first grade teacher too!).
I was so nervous to lead this first lesson, but it'll get better. It's good for me to do this...praying out loud is hard for me! But, these "Little Posies" (as Terri named us) were very sweet!
This is how we ended our meeting...w our "club prayer" in a prayer circle. It was precious!
We made friendship aprons to use for our future crafts. I can't wait to see thier little friendships develop.
