"Bittersweet"

It may look forced here, but Holt loves Mrs. Holley...& we love her!

That's the word I tried to explain to my son, yesterday (Thursday, May 20) and today (Friday, May 21). He couldn't understand why showing me his handwriting and number book would make me cry. Then, why in the world would I be crying on the last day of school...it's the start of summer for goodness sakes, right? Well, that's what it was, bittersweet. He (and I) met some of the most wonderful kids (w/ great moms & families). Adly and I will still be constants at the preschool for another 2 years, but still...it hit me hard today that my first baby was done w/ preschool making his way into the life of "big school"! Kindergarten is just around the corner and although I completely embrace the start of this great journey, it still makes me a little sad or maybe just sentimental, that he's actually closed that chapter in his life!! I'm so proud of that little man!
