We had such a fun time roaming around the grounds of the Arboretum today w/ Mariana, Diana & Jess. We walked along the shady area of the fountains, made some wishes, sat on the stone cows, walked the trail down to the ducks & turtles, ate some Thundercloud (yummm) & walked to Barnes & Noble to "read" around. We had such a great time and the kids were worn out at the end.
Highlights...
*Adly got a Dora book and Holt a Cars coloring book at B & N.
*Both of my kids managed to poop in public during this adventure...not my favorite thing to deal w/ in public restrooms...at least they were clean potties!! note: No high fiber oatmeal for breakfast before a long outing!
*Mariana & Holt found a tiny praying mantis. Holt didn't want to put him down...he literally loved the thing. The praying mantis was really cute...seriously! We left him w/ the cows.
*We saw a HUGE turtle at the pond!
