Another Spooky dinner...

Mummy dogs! I used Crescent roll dough and wrapped them around the turkey dogs as best I could, like a mummy. Cooked them in the oven as it read on the Crescent roll package and then drew a little face w/ mustard. They both loved it!

A few things...

Halloween dress rehearsal story.
Both kids got fully dressed in their costumes this afternoon. We even drew a dirty, pirate's beard onto Holt. They played around for a while and Adly asks to hold the pirate hook. Holt hands her the hook and she turns to me w/ the hook in hand and says "Look mommy, I'm a pirate hooker." hahahahah!!! Again, I had to turn away laughing! Kids say the funniest things and they don't even know it...glad I'm blogging to remember them!
Halloween for dinner...
I made Holt and Adly some "Halloween dinner" this evening...aka needed a quick fix for dinner. I added a drop of orange food coloring to the eggs and cut out a ghost toast w/ raisin eyes. I should have put raisins on the carrots to look like fingers! Spooky! They loved it!
The Train Gang...
Cutie pie, Lucas!
"Hmmm...where was I? Oh, yes, this duck call is the one I like." Holt brought his Cabela's catalog on the train for some light reading.
Adly says, "Kamdyn, you don't eat the train tickets." Adly and I were lucky and got to sit w/ Kamdyn!
The Cedar Rock Railroad again! We love this little train. We got to enjoy our pretty Sunday w/ our good friends...Miss Mary, Kamdyn and newborn Brinkly and Miss Nicole and Lucas! What a fun time! The tunnel was all decked out for Halloween too.

Time flies when you're having fun...& we are!

Biggin's Birthday Party
Here's Biggin' w/ his birthday gift...an Ugly Stick! Fishing pole for the coast!!
Holt loves to give people his things for gifts. For Biggin' he gave him some of his fishing "bait" and some money!
Biggin's birthday party was a lot of fun...as always! Davey cooked fajitas and we all hung out and watched Texas beat Missouri (well, okay, I didn't watch much!). What a fun night...and Biggin' was such a good sport, despite his sore shoulder.
Massimo's 5th!
Trying to beat Mason at air hockey! Look how intense Holt is...that's his daddy's face!
Happy 5th, Massimo!!

Massimo turns 5 with a party at Austin's Park! The kids had a blast together...& the boys were their happy to see each other, silly selves!
Sweet Girls!
Adly and Luchi had a little playdate. They are just so cute together! Girls!!
Brinkly Elle is here!
Holt loved holding Brinkly. He asked if she was going to be as big as him one day.
He rubbed her tiny hand and called her "little girl". It melted my heart! I asked him if he needed one of those around here and he replied w/ a quick and assertive "no"! But, he sure did love on this little lady.
Adly was so happy to be holding a real baby!
Kamdyn wanted Brinkly to try her snack. Mary, the good mommy that she is, says very calmly as she moves her hand "Kamdyn, that's sweet to share, but Brinkly doesn't eat snacks." We couldn't help but crack up.
We love Kamdyn and her silly self!
Hugs for the big girl too!
My good friend, Mary had her second little girl two weeks ago! She's precious...although the poor thing came into the world w/ no name...& stayed that way for two days! We had so much fun w/ she and her big sis, Kamdyn. Holt and Adly both loved holding Brinkly and love to play with (or boss around), Kamdyn. We look forward to a lot more playdates w/ these two cuties! Mary is one of those mommy types that is so easy to be around...adding another to her family was nothing! She's already a pro at two! I love my Mary...& thanks for the two teeny tiny diapers for our baby doll & froggie.

Lots of fun so far in October...

Ceramic painting creations...

Luchi's cupcake...

Jess' kitty...
Adly's kitty...
Look at all these two year old cuties! We had a girlie playdate at the Ceramic Lodge in Round Rock. The girls all picked their own piece and the paint colors to paint it with. What a great way to spend some quality mommy/daughter time. We pick up our finished creations next week!

I want my MUMMY...

My poor living room...they did clean it up though!
Missy came over on date night with a 6 pack of toilet paper and a smile. I dared to ask and she says, excitedly, "we're gonna be mummies." So, after we left for our date, they got to business. Holt wanted his whole body "mummified", but Missy said Adly made it clear that she didn't want her head wrapped! Missy isn't your normal aunt...she's the over the top kind that does everything you'd never do w/ your kids but would want to...that's her mission, I think, and I hope it never changes. They and we love our Missy so much...they definitely didn't need their mummy this night!

Particular Pumpkin Painting...

We painted our pumpkins and each was very different. Holt was particular in his color selection and made sure all of the stem was covered, Adly wanted pink and purple, but then mixed them all together to make a marbled grey color & Jess did her dabble with painting and was ready to hit the playroom! It was a fun October activity together. I think we'll cut and glue face parts next!

Bugs & Babies!!

Lila is the one on the left...one of her many favorites.
One of the residents of the Pill Bug Inn.
Bugs & Babies...that's what my house is made of. Holt loves bugs...he's been into making "pill bug habitats" lately. He'll be outside by himself forever collecting pieces for their home. He becomes very attached and even named a few ("Salbert" was one of them).
Adly is in love w/ her babies...it's what she loves the most. She'll even shut her bedroom door and play all by herself. I'll hear her on the monitor reading to them or saying "oh, honey, it's okay."...It's priceless! These two things happened to happen at the same time today while I was cleaning up after lunch. They went their separate ways and tended to their passions...bugs & babies!

A day w/ Mimi & Biggin'

Adly got to touch the shark at Joe's...& once she did it, then Holt wanted to, but not at first! Leave it to the little lady!
The gourd of choice...
The perfect pumpkin.
Searching for the coolest gourd.
Looking w/ Mimi for the one!
This big pumpkin is cool, but it's cold out here!
Even though we had a gloomy day, we made it a good one. We headed to Red Barn Nursery, puddles & all. We walked around and hunted for a good pumpkin. The generosity of Mimi & Biggin' had us leaving w/ a big pumpkin, two gourds, strawberry corn, three large Indian corn cobs & two tiny scarecrows! We're set for fall! Thanks, Mimi & Big!
After the nursery they took us to Joe's Crabshack...where Biggin' insisted we eat the crab...so good!! Holt's favorite...half of it is the entertainment of breaking it open to get to the meat!
Both kids love their Mimi & Biggin' so much!! Great memories...

Sweet Berry Farm, Fall Harvest

Kisses by the campfire...
Campfire buds!
Chicken coop
Adly picked a beautiful bouquet!
They all loved walking through the tall flowers and picking the "good ones" they found.
Cameron & Holt never seem to skip a beat...even though we don't see each other enough!
Strawberry popsicles & pumpkin ice cream...yummm...
Adly loved all of the pumpkins.
I'll take this one!
The Texas Two...
We met our friends at Sweet Berry Farm & had a blast. We picked out pumpkins & gourds, climbed on a few, rode a hayride, picked flowers, pet goats & ate some delicious strawberry popsicles & pumpkin ice cream. It was a fun way to start the fall season...& the weather actually held up quite well for us.
Holt & Adly sported their camo & Texas gear! We went to our friends new house in Georgetown, ate BBQ & had a bonfire w/ marshmallow roasting...along w/ "scary" stories by Holt & Cameron! What a fun day!!!
