Friday...

We spent the day w/ one of Holt's favorite ladies, Hailee.  She loves to craft, like us!  I had their complete undivided attention during a "paint a canvas" lesson.  My idea was to do a gumball machine...together, but in their own ways.
Hailee was all for that...sweet girl!
Holt had a different opinion of expressing himself.
Beautiful too...he just needed that control.
 Date at Chick Fil A
Then we got to go to a beautiful show...
Adly's dance performance.
Here she is w/ her dear friend, Scout.
How precious are little girls in tutus and leotards?  Their teeny tiny bodies are just so sweet.
Great day!

Huge milestone!!

Look at my big boy, Holtie!!  He FINALLY lost his first tooth!  Just sitting there playing w/ the thing...dangling...he shouts, "Mom, my tooth...my tooth came out!"  Big smile and no blood.
Sooo exciting!!
I wrote the tooth fairy a note asking her to leave my baby's first tooth for me to keep.  John was grossed out by that, but whatever.  Little does he know I still have the stick I peed on to tell me we were having him!  Seriously!
On another note...Holt isn't convinced of the tooth fairy.  Here's the conversation before bed...
Holt:  "Mom, I still don't think there is a tooth fairy."
Me: "Well, I would believe if you want her to bring your money for that thing."
Holt: "Okay, I do.  But I sort of think your parents come in and give you the money."
Me: "I never saw my parents come in and give me money and I always got it for my teeth."
Holt: "yeah, well, parents are good at knowing when kids are asleep.  Besides, if she was around when you were little, doesn't she get really old?"
Me: "No, she's magic. She stays the same age."
Holt: "No, that doesn't happen."
Me: "okay, well, I'm not absolutely sure.  Maybe she has a baby and that baby becomes the tooth fairy when she gets older...and so on."
Holt: "Really?  So who has the baby w/ her?  There's a man tooth fairy too?"

OMG!!!  This is my son!!!  I wanted to hand him his money and tell him to forget it.  But, I stuck to it trying so very hard to keep a straight face.  He cracks me up!!  What a little toot he is!

Miss Jennifer

Because we don't have your email and I was soooo flattered and happy to hear from you...Happy Belated Birthday too!!  We miss you soooooooo much & love you soooooooo much!!  I hope you are so happy in CA.  They sure are lucky to have you.  xoxoxoxo

Golf Camp...

I got to spend three days w/ these these three.  Such cuties...w/ their golf bags!!
They had a golf camp for 1.5 hours a day, and while they did that, I worked out and hung by the pool (hard life this week, I know).
They LOVED every minute of this camp.
After only 1.5 hours, they were hot and tired!
We cooled off afterwards by dipping our feet in the pool.  Well, I shouldn't really say "feet" b/c the boys got pretty much their lower torsos soaked.  Finnley's clothing remained dry, of course!
Definite repeat here...all three of them are crazy about golf now.

A few birthday things...

Dragging my 35th out...
So, I had a great day!  Opened my door and had presents from friends waiting there.  How sweet are they? (Thanks D & E.)
John had the kids make me cards and Holt's (of course) had $1.25 for me to spend (at Sonic).  Precious!!
Then that evening was out to eat at Maudie's (see Missy's blog for pic).  Great day!  I think my kids were good too. :)

My sweet friend Neva gave me this pot holder from her Granny as one of my gifts.  How cute is that?!  I LOVE those type of gifts.  It's sitting out in my kitchen.  Thanks, Neva.
Here's what came to my house...
this amazing floral arrangement from King Florist (really cool, unique designs here).  Seriously, this picture doesn't do it justice.  Amazing!  Thanks Mom, Biggin & Dakota!
I love them!!
Then I also got to spend time w/ my mom shopping at my favorite place...NORDSTROM!!  Plus lunch at their Bistro...one of my very favorite places.  Citrus Turkey sandwich w/ olive spread and fries!
Mom spoiled me and it was sooo fun!!
Thanks, Mom!!
How could I not have a wonderful 35th w/ all these wonderful people in my life?!
I love you!!

35

Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are a cheese.  This is true, right?

I'm excited for today...even though I am now officially in my MID thirties.  Yikes?...but, it's a good place to be.  A neighbor of mine said that 35 & 36 were her favorite years yet.  That made me really happy.  She's 44.  She said "You're a baby."  That made me even happier.  :)
