Look at my big boy, Holtie!! He FINALLY lost his first tooth! Just sitting there playing w/ the thing...dangling...he shouts, "Mom, my tooth...my tooth came out!" Big smile and no blood.
Sooo exciting!!
I wrote the tooth fairy a note asking her to leave my baby's first tooth for me to keep. John was grossed out by that, but whatever. Little does he know I still have the stick I peed on to tell me we were having him! Seriously!
On another note...Holt isn't convinced of the tooth fairy. Here's the conversation before bed...
Holt: "Mom, I still don't think there is a tooth fairy."
Me: "Well, I would believe if you want her to bring your money for that thing."
Holt: "Okay, I do. But I sort of think your parents come in and give you the money."
Me: "I never saw my parents come in and give me money and I always got it for my teeth."
Holt: "yeah, well, parents are good at knowing when kids are asleep. Besides, if she was around when you were little, doesn't she get really old?"
Me: "No, she's magic. She stays the same age."
Holt: "No, that doesn't happen."
Me: "okay, well, I'm not absolutely sure. Maybe she has a baby and that baby becomes the tooth fairy when she gets older...and so on."
Holt: "Really? So who has the baby w/ her? There's a man tooth fairy too?"
OMG!!! This is my son!!! I wanted to hand him his money and tell him to forget it. But, I stuck to it trying so very hard to keep a straight face. He cracks me up!! What a little toot he is!
He's always been smart and fooling him is going to be tough! Tell us what happened when he found his "Tooth Fairy" tooth money!
ReplyDeleteI just read this to Sean, and we were cracking up! I think I still have the pee stick somewhere too so you're not the only one. :) Take lots of pics with those big teeth missing. The new ones come in FAST.
ReplyDeleteThat's my Holtie!!
