Happy 4th Birthday, Adly Jewell!!

I can't believe my baby is 4!!  She went from this chubby little lady 4 years ago...

 She's ready for Cinderella to come visit her at her birthday party now!!

 I know, only in Texas.  This was all her daddy.  Don't worry, she won't shoot it for a while and he'll make sure he goes over all the safety rules and she'll NEVER be unsupervised.  (Controversial at best!)

Around here right now...it's BOWEENG!

Holt has been sick!  ugh!  Poor guy...we think he has strep (waiting for lab results).  Our day wasn't so bad though.  He watched a movie and a lot of other tv and did lots of busy work.  He even took a little nap...I was glad. But, I hate when kids are sick.  You feel helpless.  He's mad about missing school.  He loves it.  That makes me glad too.

 Adly and I played w/ the Little People town.  I actually packed this up and she asked about it a week later...so it's out again...taking up lots of space in our playroom.  It's so fun though!

 Daddy and Mommy Little People had a date night  of dinner & a movie.  The mommy drove and told the daddy where they were going for the date.  I liked that.

 Holt and I got out his Orbeez to play w/.  This thing is so fun & so cool.  I posted about them a while back...they are these really cool spheres that grow in water.  They're the size of a pinhead before they grow.  You can bounce them and squish them and play w/ them over and over.  They shrink back and grow again.  They come in tons of colors too!  (Only for big kids that know not to put things in their mouths.  Glad to be past that stage.)

I thought we did a lot.  I thought the day was fun.  But Adly had a different thought...

Thomas came for a playdate!

It's just so true...

We have a Veggie Tales book that goes through why each veggie is special.  "Hi, I'm Laura Carrot.  God made me special and I'm dying to share it.", etc., etc.  She's orange, which is rare among veggies.
So, Adly and I were having a little lunch together and she says, "I know how God made me special.  He made me special by making me sweet."
I just smiled.
It's just so dang true...she is soooo sweet!

The night light is what?

I was cleaning up in the kitchen while the kids were playing.  Here's what I heard....(This is hilarious and a little strange, but if you know who've they've been around a lot lately, it'll make sense.)
Holt: "Adly, don't come in here right now.  You're the mom so you're supposed to be home doing laundry and taking care of the baby." (He was in the playroom and she was obviously supposed to be in her room...their "home".  He's got to learn that women can bring home the bacon too!)

Adly: "Holtie! but, I work too.  I need someone to take care of the babies while I work and I have to pump!" (You go, girl!)

Holt: "Okay, let me set up the pump room for you."  He goes into the bathroom and sets up a stool, a few baby bottles and they use her bird night light as the "pump".  Adly goes in and holds the bird up to her nips and says "shhh, shhh, shhh," (that's the pump sound).

Adly: "Okay, Holt.  The babies can eat now."

They both take a baby each and sit down to feed them.  How funny and cute is this?!!!  I'm just glad Holt will play dolls w/ her.  Thanks to my sister for the inspiration!!
