This morning I blew my nose and Holt commented "That sounded like a rhinoceros was sharpening his horn!"
Then, this afternoon on our way home he said that there were some little sea creatures he loved and played w/ in his class today...I asked, "how little were they?"...he says, and I'm not kidding, "About the size of a baby bird's pecker." (pointing to his nose). I had to hold my breath to not crack up...he cracks me up on most days. I said "Oh, you mean his beak?" "Yeah, momma, his beak."

We grow em' big around here!

Look at this cucumber!! It was grown by the hands of my children & I! How amazing is this? & it's actually really good...we ate some of it in a salad & Adly has had it for snack a few times. There's nothing like growing and then actually eating your own food. You have to try it, even if it's just a tomato plant in a pot on the porch...it's so worth it for them to see. They screamed for ice cream!

That annoying, low budget looking, music playing van drove by my house when we were outside and they asked what it was. When I told them it was an ice cream truck, they went crazy. I couldn't resist. I grabbed my cash and we ran for it...I was barefoot, Holt was wearing his pirate hat & no shoes & Adly had on socks w/o shoes & ragamuffin hair...but we ran for it. Holt picked a Spiderman popsicle & Adly a Pink Panther. They loved it!!Where's the S?
Adly's speech is just so darn cute...I have to share her way w/ "S"... An"s" before a consonant is just not spoken.
Here are a few precious examples...I'm sure you can translate them yourself.
"Nomen don't belong in summer, they belong in no."
"Holt, don't take my pot, I was sitting there."
"I neezed and pit came out of my mouth!"
"Jesse is so fweet to me."- if it's a "w" after the "s" then she uses an "f"
"Top it, Holt!" (this one is used more than she'd like)
& one more...thanks for reminding me, mom....
"Can I have a cheese tick and ticky bar for nack?"
