Adly went through a phase (about 4 days) where she said she "needed" to wear these glasses to see. It was hilarious! She would take them off and squint, then say "See, I need them or I can't see." I'm pretty sure they are inspired by her cute friend, Finnley, who has beautiful, red (for real) glasses.

Spring Sing and the last day of school for Adly
Friday was Adly's last day of school before summer. We have one more year at our wonderful school...before Kindergarten! I will cherish every minute of it. Maybe I'll do a "Pic a day at HCC" (sort of like your year for Livi, B.). That would be cute. Either way I'll be bawling at the end of it. This might seriously be the BEST school ever.
The pics never turn out that great at these. But, there she is...at her Spring Sing. We got front row seats (thanks, B). I'll have them again for the Christmas program...they raffle them off and guess who won?!
Her Mimi came too.
We'll miss Mrs. Q
& Miss Karen.

carpet hockey
Maybe I should clarify...it's only called hockey b/c the ball is dropped and they say "Face off, Center ice". After that, it's pretty much soccer. Oh, except there's a penalty box too. It's their favorite thing. There's a new one now called "Sock Golf"...great!
carpet hockey...
This is the kind of stuff that goes on in my living room. I don't love it. I'm always afraid something is going to get broken. But, my husband doesn't listen. So, on it goes. Hockey, in my living room...
They love it!
John breaks a sweat every time they play. seriously! Adly's sitting out in the this one b/c she got a 5 second penalty for pushing.
She's back at it! (notice the pillows and throw covering the fireplace...danger!)
Holt can make some serious goals w/ this kick!
Tiny too...
Woo hoo! ...I guess.

A day fit for princesses!
(Wow, today Missy said "Do you blog any more?". So, here I am...)
I know everyone else has posted their Princess Wishes pics long ago...except me! So, here they are. It was such a fun day.
I thought Adly would, for sure, pick one of her Disney Princess dresses for the show. But, she picked this cute hand me down from Livi. She decided to just be Princess Adly, I guess.
Adly & Jess ready for the show...

I LOVE my nephews...
I know I've said that before, and I have lots of other things to blog about right now and no picture really for this one, but just had to say, I LOVE them! I went over this evening after putting my babies down for the night (so nice to have them, literally, 2 minutes away) and hugged them as much as Missy would let me during their night-night routine. I think I kissed them a million times. Maybe a few more for Rex b/c I wasn't allowed to pick Ren up for long (the spit up thing). I even witnessed Davey reading the bedtime stories to them. PRECIOUS! Again, just had to say, I LOVE my nephews. I had no idea it would be this wonderful. xoxoxo Ren & Rex!

Adly's Adventures...
I updated you all on Holt's Happenings, now it's time for sweet Adly Jewell...
Here she is eating one of her favorites...snow cones! (We have a snow cone maker and it is sooo fun! I think it was $20-$30 about 2 summers ago. Diana, have you used yours yet!!?)
p.s. Like the BIG pink flower? It's a sneak peek of her dance recital attire.
She's been really into the bars lately. Monkey bars too. She can pull her legs up and flip over...by herself! Also, she's very big into dressing herself...hence the Cowboy cheerleader uniform and pink socks.
Here is she is wearing a flower girl dress from MY wedding!! It was Davey's little sisters and for some reason, I still have it. Sweet, huh? She LOVES it!
One of her favorite places...her Jess' house!
Adly had her 4 year well check last Thursday. A little later than I usually schedule them, but I was dreading it. Seriously, dreading it. 4 years is the one where they get 4 vaccines!! So, we talked and talked about it. I wanted her to know exactly what was going to happen at the end of the visit. (I did not tell Holt any of this when it was his 4 year check. He would have freaked. Totally different personalities.) So, every time she would say, "Mommy, I know. It's okay. It'll be quick." I would tell her, "but, it's okay if you cry. It doesn't mean your aren't big." She would say, "I know, if it hurts, I might cry."
So, we had the appt. and it went super. Adly weighs in at the 42% and her height is in the 92%.
Then, the shot lady came in. She had the little syringes on the plate, put her gloves on and asked Adly to sit up on the table. At this point I had given her a sucker to ease some anxiety, which there was none on her part, but I felt like I was sweating!! She gets up on the table, lays down and takes ALL of them like a big girl!! Not a tear..."not a single tear", as she says it. We were in shock! Nurses came in and kept saying, "You are so big. This never happens." We left there w/ tiny sore legs, stickers and no tears! Amazing!!!
She knows now that it won't be until she's 11 when she gets another one of those. Until then she'll be happy w/ her Barbie's bed she picked out at Toys R Us!!
