We needed an incentive program for the boy...bad! So, here's what I came up with. It's working for now. He's totally into it. He loves earning things...if he sees he can work towards something, he's all about it. So, it's all about positive reinforcement right now. Constant...."you turned your light out in your room...good job buck!", "you were sweet to your sister...good job buck!", "you used your manners...good job buck!". Of course we include Adly in this too, even though she really doesn't need it. So, each day they earn a sticker (or not a few times for him). The end result is various prizes...a certain toy, ice cream w/ one of us, outings that they really want to do, etc. We are overly complimentary right now to get them really into it and praise as much as we can. It's been really great lately....hopefully it stays this way!
