Spring Break projects...

One of my favorite things to do w/ my kids is paint!  We've done it since they were old enough to hold a paintbrush.  It's so special to see their thoughts come out on a canvas (& they're pretty cheap).

I'm glad I took pics of them b/c they gave them both to my sister!

 The garden went in!!!  I have to confess, since my sister was there, that my dad did pretty much the entire thing.  I told him where I wanted things and he advised, dug and planted all but two plants!  Holt helped a lot and Adly helped where she could too.  They love it and so do I!  I think my dad does too.

 Here it is, very young and full of promise.  I added 2 more plants today.  I've always wanted to grow an heirloom tomato.

 Holt decided to convert his "digging" area into a garden b/c last year his bok choy went nuts.  See it there beside him?  That's last years!  We just had it in an Asian dish the other night and it was good!

He's growing carrots, watermelon & pumpkin this year.  Wish him luck!

 Adly and I are reading this bible.  We love it...& I love that she asks to read it.

 My FAVORITE thing right now.  My friend, Brandie's, friend, wrote it and it's amazing!  B gave me a copy a few months ago and we haven't stopped making popsicles since!

 What kid doesn't love popsicles?  I say yes to these at any time...even breakfast.

This one is called The Green Machine.  It has pineapple, spinach, banana, flax seed and water.  It's delicious.  I drank it as a smoothie.  I bought this popsicle maker at Bed Bath and Beyond.  The recipe makes about 10-12 popsicles...this is the fastest and coolest way to do it.  I always have leftovers for my nephews too!  Try it.  You can find the book on Amazon of course.

 Dinner w/ Julie at a restaurant.  This dollie booster seat was the best buy! (Good thinking, Diana!)

I'm loving Spring Break....none of these pics are from Spring break though.  I'll post those later, but I just wanted to say that.  I'm trying to enjoy these days w/ my kids.  Even though sometimes I'm really annoyed...a few times today even, but I love it still. 

February 19 came and went...

 After the big American Girl weekend we came home and had a family party w/ Pappy, the R family & the C family.  (Mimi was in Austrailia!)

 Adly requested that Jess wear her Ariel dress to the party.  She wasn't too excited about that, but she did it anyway for her BFF.
