First Camping trip...

Two daddies took their kids camping this weekend.  Two mommies got a lot of free time!  It was awesome!  It was their first camping experience and they did great.  They slept in a real tent at John's family farm.
Here they are after catching a catfish!
Silly kids...Holt & Adly w/ their buddies Finnley & Scout.
 Tent set up...

This is the turkey that likes to be petted.  So cute.
 Chicks had hatched.  So sweet...

 Hay bale running!
Note that Adly is still in her jammies!
After roughing it, they ended the trip on the right foot.  Washing off at the country club pool! ahhhh!
Look how ragamuffin Adly looks.  That hairdo is from when I fixed it before they left!  Hilarious!
John did a pretty good job capturing the trip himself, don't you think?  I hope they had enough fun to continue this every year!

A few more pics from graduation...

The graduate!
A couple of his ladies.  Hailee & Minyoung...precious!
We spent our first day of summer w/ this little lady.  What a sweetheart.
At the grad party...he and his mommy!
Last day of school fun!  I love this part.
If you are or were a teacher, you know what they are doing...it's an end of year cleaning ritual!

What an amazing year!

Self conscious blogger...

Man, I'm feeling very down about my blog lately.  I don't do it for the comments, but where's the love?  I need one here or there.  Thanks, mom & Carrie...I'm glad someone reads it. :)  Guess I need to step up my commenting on others or be a little more interesting.

He graduated from Kindergarten!

Can you believe this?  I can't!  It flew by.  He is getting so big.  I didn't cry...very much.  Just a few tears as we pulled away from school and waved bye to his teacher, his friends and his school...but only for the summer and we'll see a lot friends this summer too.  But, endings are hard.  I'm so proud of this little man.  He has done an amazing job this year.
Look at how tall he got too.  Notice the door handle to his right.  The first pic is closer up, so it's hard to tell.  But, he's way taller now!  His hair will be back to that blond after the summer, mark my words.
Summer, here we come!
 Graduation!!
Holt & Mrs. Stroh
I'll post more once I get pictures from everyone!  So proud!!

First stitches...

I guess, when you have kids, you never know when the emergency room could be just around the corner.  All ready for bed, this tiny lady decided to hold herself up on the bathroom counter top (w/ stiff arms to hold her up & feet dangling), then push off.  Well, the push off wasn't big enough.  Unfortunately it caused a pretty deep gash.  It didn't bleed at first...looked like a big chunk of flesh.  Once I pinched it together it started bleeding.
Just like the 4 year well check shots, this lady didn't cry!  She got a little teary eyed when the doctor said she'd need a few stitches, but nothing ever fell out...so that's not crying!  She's so proud of herself.  Even after that big needle of Lidocaine.  Amazing!  Such a big girl.  I wanted to cry, but I held it together somehow.
My poor Tiny!  3 stitches & we get those out in 5 days.  What a way to start the summer!

Last dance class...for now.

Here they are w/ their dance medals.  They were so proud of them.
Especially Jess, she didn't want to take it off!
Miss Courtney has done such a great job w/ these girls.  Just precious!
Recital still to come..."Cheek to Cheek"
I know I said boys' sports are so much fun and there's nothing to compare it to, but everything about little girls at dance is just as great...just different.  It's calm, quiet and pretty.  I LOVE it!

The Astros won it all!!

One of the best things about having a son is the sports.  Seriously, I know girls play sports (and I hope Adly does) but it's not the same.  really, it's not.  Not that I won't be super excited to cheer my girl on.  It's just so fun to get so pumped up for those little boys.
We love it!
This year they won the playoffs for their league.  It was awesome!!!
Then, for selling the most tickets out of ALL of T & C, the Astros got to go on the field at the RR Express game and stand w/ the players for the  national anthem.  Same thing last year...must be the great family support! It is so sweet to see those little boys out there w/ those big boys.

Missy, Mimi, Biggin', Dakota & Blane all came to support him!  Thanks, family.
