I think I'm going to have a weekly quote...just b/c of a little smart a*# comment that my very sweet sister posted the other day...so, here goes...it's about tolerance...and I like it.

today...

A happy meal no longer suffices for my growing boy.  He eats a ton already.  What will I do?!!  Hamburger, apple slices & nuggets...then he added a few celery slices.  He was satisfied for about 2 hours...then he was back at it!

 We eat popsicles most days in the summer.  Aren't these pretty?

 We made Rainbow Stew.  It's what Adly made at science camp, but Holt squished it all together.  So...

2 cups water, 1/2 cup corn starch, 3 tbsp. sugar, red, yellow & blue food coloring.

Mix all ingredients, except for food coloring in heated skillet...

 until thick

 divide into three bowls, let cool to touch. 

Add a few drops of food coloring to each.  Stir.

 Add each color in order of red, yellow and blue into ziploc baggie...beside each other.

squish together to mix colors and make rainbow!!

 Pretty!  Good lesson in primary and secondary colors!

2 granny smith apples (bigger than I used & I only had 1).

lollipop sticks

peanut butter candy melts

sprinkles

little baking cups

 use melon baller to cut out round shapes, make sure each piece has peel piece on it.

poke lollipop sticks into each ball

 melt candy and dip apples into it

Party Weekend!!!

Look where we went!  Even though John went to school at TCU, he'd never been to Billy Bob's.  It was SO much fun!!  I mean, really, really fun!

 We went w/ some of our very best friends, Josh & Diana.

 to see him....Charlie Robison (Diana's "old man" crush).  He was so good!!  We sat right up front, could have touched him.  Served drinks right to us...it was the best.  But, let's just say...what happens in Ft. Worth, stays in Ft. Worth.  Whooo Hooo!!  (Thanks to my in-laws for taking great care of H & A.)

 Happy 3rd birthday to my sweet niece, Berkley!  She had a fun pool party today!

This suit is one of those purchases you should never make full price from the Disney store, but I couldn't refuse it for her bday & her love of princesses.  That was in Feb., but she's happy to have it now!

The tutu is tulle rosettes...it's soooo & girly!

Things around here...

My favorite, while-I'm-cooking-dinner snack.  Steam microwave bag of edemame, add sea salt, toss in a bowl w/ an empty bowl beside it for shells and there you go.  Healthy and easy.  My kids LOVE!

His front tooth is so close to coming out!!  It's taking forever!

I see my nephews almost every day...I think this week it was every day.
